Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Jyothi

Lifting children's motivation to learn by improving the whole ecosystem of adopted government schools.

Overview

What is Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Jyothi?

Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Jyothi raises the motivation and learning experience of students in adopted schools. It treats a school as more than a brick-and-mortar building, so it works on the whole ecosystem: teachers, parents and the community.

The programme runs in four phases. Energise builds enthusiasm among children, teachers and parents; Empower works on children's character and capability; Equip brings repairs, toilets, drinking water and benches; and Evolve connects the school with the wider community.

“Peace and joy are to be found only among these little children… These children are fresh charming saplings, who can be made, by care and love, to blossom into ideal citizens of this land, able to understand and practise the great disciplines laid down by the sages for their liberation, through self-realisation.”
